When cooking it says to use olive oil, what if i only have vegetable oil will that work?

pasta roni? When cooking it says to use olive oil, what if i only have vegetable oil will that work?
Olive oil has a great flavor, while vegetable oil has almost no flavor, so you might have a different taste when the dish is cooked. But, they can both be used interchangeably. When cooking it says to use olive oil, what if i only have vegetable oil will that work?
Yes, any kind of veggie oil will work, but it will taste a little different. Olive oil has a distinctive taste but most vegetable oils (safflower, canola, etc.) have almost no taste at all.
For pasta use whatever oil you happen to have. It will work just fine. You may have to adjust the volume a bit, and the taste will not be exactly the same. High quality peanut oil, grapeseed oil and corn oil can all be substituted.
It will taste different without the olive oil, but yes it will ';work.'; If there are a lot of other seasonings in the dish it might not be as noticeable. If you are simply sauteeing something in oil without much additional spices like you might do with scallops or shrimp the difference with the oil will be noticeable.
yeah I always use vegtable oil
sure will,
It will work I use canola oil instead of veggie oil all the time.

so using veggie instead of olive oil will not hurt.
vegetable oil is fine to use.
veg oil will work but you lose out on the taste. Go buiy some olive oil. It's good to have in the house and much healthier than most other oils.
Vegetable oil will work.
