Why cooking oil was invented?

The cavemen got tired of throwing out their frying pan every time they cooked up some T-Rex, so they discovered that if they crushed up some corn prior to cooking their T-Rex steaks, then the steaks wouldn't stick.

This lead to the cavefolks inventing popcorn, movie theatres, $5 dollar Cokes, movies, surround sound and bad dates. Why cooking oil was invented?
Cause it tastes better with food then sewing oil ?Why cooking oil was invented?
so we can make frog masak kicap. frog goreng. frog masak lemak cili padi. dan sebagainye.. where the initial part of all the recipe stated earlier, we nid to tumis the bawang wif oil..
to make sure that the thing we fry do not stick to the frying pan ... and to add up some taste ...
to fry chicken
because.....
because we need to cook...
well, it gives an extra additional flavor to your food plus it acts as a '; lubricant '; on your pan so that the food wont get burned. even a non stick pan needs a lil help of oil too.
coz;

1) human don't want to be mistaken as donno how to cook, when their dishes 'hangus'

2) they get bored eating boiled food

3) fried food tastes better... add some onion n garlic...
To fry food in.
So that we dont cook our food with petrol

  • Why are you not supposed to use cooking oils/spray with non-stick frying pans?

I have a Pampered Chef Frying pan. If I cannot use oils, how do I fry?Why are you not supposed to use cooking oils/spray with non-stick frying pans?
A little oil is fine. No where does it say not to use oil. What they don't recommend is sprays like Pam because it tends to cause a sticky buildup that is hard to get off. The great thing with nonstick especially a nonstick quality pan is that you don't need much oil and it cooks evenly. Why are you not supposed to use cooking oils/spray with non-stick frying pans?
Some of the cooking sprays can cause staining of the pan.

What happens is the spray goes all over and when the pan heats up the cooking oil and the propellants that are used burn onto the surface of the pan. This builds up over time and while it is harmless it is unsightly and I would guess that they do not want to take the pans back when you finally notice the build up. It can be cleaned off but on a non stick pan the coating may come off.
I've never heard the ';do not use'; oils w/ it. I fry and saute in oil and butter all the time in my nonstick skillets. As long asyou use plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratchign the surface, there shoudl be no problem.
Supposedly you don't have to. But even with a non stick pan, I still use cooking oil and/or pam. a little bit of searing is still nice. you can't use them for deep frying though, too much heat would peel off the teflon.
you can't use sprays, but oil is fine. The spray tends to make pans sticky.
No reason you CANNOT us an oil. I think the point is that you DONT NEED oil.
Unless it's high quality as has a good coat of non stick, I'd use a little oil

How can we make bio fuel from waste cooking oil.?

And if you're interested in how people can actually make their own, there is a site that explains it. http://www.freedomfuelamerica.com/produc鈥?/a>How can we make bio fuel from waste cooking oil.?
They already use it for fuel, a company my feance works for picks up various forms of waste oil, from waste cooking oil to waste motor oil, long story short, it ends up in asphault plants and papermills in place of fuel oil or deisal fuel in waste oil burners, They need alot of heat and they can go threw 2000 gals of fuel a day, so they save alot of money and help the envoroment alot by using waste oil instead of reguler fuels :)

Illegal dumping of used cooking oil?

    Hi,

I don't know what the question is exactly but a good friend of mine is a contractor and sets up restaurants here in Los Angeles. I know you have to pay to dump used cooking oil and there is paperwork and whatnot if you want to open a restaurant that will be doing this. That's what my friend helps facilitate with the city.

So... If you have a bunch of used cooking oil, I'd be really careful where you take it since you can get fined for illegal dumping.Illegal dumping of used cooking oil?
