What wil happen if i put 2 ltr cooking oil in with 10ltr diesel in my mitsubishi delica 2.8 td, cooked/uncookd

no mods to engine and has anybody done thisWhat wil happen if i put 2 ltr cooking oil in with 10ltr diesel in my mitsubishi delica 2.8 td, cooked/uncookd
It's best to use used cooking oil and filter it to get all the lumps and crap out, It won't be any different from using diesel except on cold mornings it will be harder to start due to the cooking oil solidifying slightly.

It isn't illegal... But if you do it by law you have to pay around 36p a litre... Which is bloody stupid! What wil happen if i put 2 ltr cooking oil in with 10ltr diesel in my mitsubishi delica 2.8 td, cooked/uncookd
The engine will run just fine, maybe a little smokey, but no harm done. It would however be illegal to use it on the road
makes no difference to the performance of the engine, as said before, filter out the dross and way to go. You might start to smell like a chippy which will alert the police. Fellow on top gear ran an 80's merc from Blackpool to East coast purely on waste chip fat - caused him no problems.
u can run most deisels on cooking oil iff u use used oil mke sure u filter it i run i peugot 405 turbo deisel on pure cooking does no harm but u better mixing with some deisel in the winter say 1 litre to 4 cooking oil happy cheap fuel at tescos
it will work JUST FINE !
think you need a special filter. it is also illegal.
it will smell loverly

tax man will know what you're doing
you can run 10 per cent veg oil (unused) in any diesel engine, best to check with a bio-diesel website first tho`. it is not illegal to use it but you must pay fuel duty on it. in France by law all petrol stations have to sell their diesel with a percentage of bio-diesel included.
Your making some very cheap and nasty biodesil there, its not going to be that good for your vehicle or the environment I may add.

Usually you take cooking oil used or unused and strip out the glycerin i think it is then you can use:

Set up the equipment and go collect the oil for free from the local chinese restaurant, they'll love you long time.
the tax man says if you pay for the oil , you must pay him about 36 per litre, BUT if you were to get it free i.e. from a chippy or curry house etc, you pay nothing , so i believe but you must strain it first through the finest mesh you can get, and possibly add another filter to your fuel line.

happy and cheap motoring.
nothing will happen your car will just smell like a mobile chippy
